Challenging grade walking holidays

Our Challenging grade walking holidays (Grade 6, 7 & 8) are for more experienced hikers. They are a step up from our Moderate walking tours, and serve up full-day hikes with appreciable ascent and descent, sometimes across longer distances or over terrain that may be rougher or steeper in places. You’ll want to make sure you’re fit and prepared, as they can require more stamina and effort. The rewards are bigger too though!

Although these trips can be tough, they are truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Imagine climbing to the summit of Mount Toubkal in Morocco, bagging a series of Wainwrights in the English Lake District or completing the legendary Tour du Mont Blanc. Wherever you choose to challenge yourself, these routes are meticulously planned, supported by experienced walk leaders and set up so that you can take your time to savour the spectacular scenery throughout the day.
